Anne Weger was born in Indianpolis, Indiana and raised in Santa Barbara, California. She continued her education studying music at Santa Barbara City College, the Music Academy of the West, and California Institute of the Arts. She is a long-time member of the Santa Barbara music community and enjoys sharing her musical gift with her church family.
I’ve been in the field of early education for more than 20 years as a teacher, school owner and director. I've had the pleasure of working with St. Mark twice. It’s crazy how life can come full circle. I was the director a few years back and moved to Portland with my family for eight years. My husband and I made the decision to return to California to be closer to family and friends – and yes, we were getting a little tired of the rain. (You just can’t beat Santa Barbara weather!)
I love a school where I have the opportunity to connect with families and help teachers grow in the field of early childhood. A school in which, above all, I can engage the children in life-enriching experiences that help them embrace the world around them. St. Mark is that school. We learn, we play, and we enjoy what we do together. I love St. Mark so much that my own twin daughters attended and graduated from pre-k in 2004. Now they're in high school, but I’m sure you’ll see them around once in awhile working with the children.
