What Can I Expect When I Arrive?

St. Mark United Methodist Church is a vital congregation with more than 50 years of mission and ministry in Santa Barbara.

Join us as we encounter the Living God through worship, community, and service.

Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open to you and your family.

We have a large parking lot on the campus of the church, adjacent to and behind the sanctuary. We have designated handicapped parking spaces in front of the church sanctuary. There is also ample street parking. A drop-off area is located right in front of the sanctuary.

We believe that God invites us to come as we are–into community and into worship. For some folks this means wearing their Sunday best, and others just their So-Cal weekend wear. All are welcome.

The worship celebration begins at 9:30am and it is an hour long with a blend of traditional hymns and praise music. Communion takes place the first Sunday of every month. The pastors invites the children to the front shortly after the service begins for a message meant especially for them. The children are then invited to go to Sunday school or to rejoin their families in worship.

Coffee Fellowship takes place after worship. We invite you to join us for coffee and light snacks right next door in Clemens Hall.

We strive to be a community that values and welcomes all people. Our facilities are fully accessible, and our ushers are ready to offer assistance with any questions or particular needs.

We have an integrated system complete with amplified headphones available at the entrance of the center aisle. Our sanctuary is also equipped with a hearing loop that connects to t-coil hearing aids. The ushers will be happy to assist you.

We hope for your Sunday morning experience to be worry free for both you and your children! Our nursery is located in Clemens Hall and is available for infants and toddlers to age 4. Our childcare staff is attentive and nurturing, and each care giver has undergone a background check and SafeSanctuary policy training.
